Planned interruption to your water supply
Please note that this notification replaces the notification dated 1 November 2017.
Water Corporation is undertaking important work to upgrade the Perenjori water supply system.
As a result, water to your property will be unavailable from:
11pm, Tuesday 7 November – 5am, Wednesday 8 November
Water Corporation customers are asked to plan ahead for this period when water will be unavailable for up to 6 hours.
Before the Water Supply Interruption
Fill kettles and store some drinking water in the fridge.
Store some water in buckets or other large containers to flush the toilet.
During the Water Supply Interruption
Toilet cisterns will need to be refilled from a bucket.
Do not use automatic dishwashers or washing machines.
After the Water Supply Interruption
When the water supply is reconnected you may notice some discoloured water for a short period. This water is harmless.
Flush discoloured water from your plumbing by running an outside tap at the front of your property for 2-3 minutes.
Open taps slowly to allow water to return to your plumbing without too much force or noise.
