Blues for the Bush is a unique festival opportunity designed to engage, inspire and delight. It takes place on Charles Darwin Reserve located approximately 70kms east of Perenjori.
2020: Join us for a weekend of wild flower vistas, sweet sounds and sensational flavours… the fifth Blues for the Bush Festival and Concert promises to inspire and delight you and your family.
It is a unique opportunity to enjoy the warm country hospitality of the vibrant community that lives and works in Perenjori as well as meet some visitors to the region. The Open Day (Saturday 9.00am – 4.00pm) is free to attend and offers something for everyone including activities for the young, and young at heart, inspiring talks, guided tours of Charles Darwin Reserve, Workshops and much more. The Open Day followed by our concert (4pm to Midnight) which delivered a foot stomping, rollickingly good line up of Blues music and entertainment from Australia and beyond.
In 2018 we have offered overnight campers a Friday night prelude and Sunday morning recovery which ‘circles the wagons’ back to Perenjori town for more festivities.

We're all about supporting local community and some of our weekend artists have been helping to get the kids of Perenjori into the festival spirit with some homegrown hip-hop. Also, the winners of this year's Blues for the Bush tote bag contest had their designs printed onto the official festival merch. Good stuff, Perenjori Primary School!
