Perenjori Public Library

The Perenjori Public Library is located within the Shire’s Administration building. It has a basic stock of approximately 1,500 items including books, audio and visual cassettes, CDs and DVDs, and functions as part of the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA). Monthly exchanges are received from SLWA which ensures the library is kept regularly updated with new items. Access to the library is free to residents of Perenjori and to other persons possessing a current library ticket from their local public library. The library is open from 8am-5pm weekdays.

Latham Public Library

The Latham Public Library is located in the Country Women’s Association building on Britt Street along with the Australia Post outlet. The library operates in the same manner as the Perenjori Public Library and has current stock of 1,300 items and also receives regular exchanges. The library is open every Tuesday morning from 9.00am – 11.00am. In the near future the library will be available to residents during the same opening hours as the post office.

I Remember When…

Is there is an interesting story or memory of life growing up in Perenjori and surrounding areas?
Is there a place or event that you recall?
Does your family have a special story that you wish to share?
Then, why not let the library know and share it with the community!

I Remember When… is a project by the Perenjori Public Library to build up our Heritage Collection inside the library. Memories can be as brief as a few sentences or more. Old photos for scanning are especially welcomed. Your stories will then be preserved in the Heritage Collection. Contact Teegan Hickey on 9973 0100 or email reception@perenjori.wa.gov.au for more information.
