Library Services
Perenjori Public Library
The Perenjori Public Library is located within the Shire’s Administration building. It has a basic stock of approximately 1,500 items including books, audio and visual cassettes, CDs and DVDs, and functions as part of the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA).
Monthly exchanges are received from SLWA which ensures the library is kept regularly updated with new items. Access to the library is free to residents of Perenjori and to other persons possessing a current library ticket from their local public library.
Requests
Items of interest can be requested via SLWA and ordered in, a process that takes approximately three weeks. Please see the Shire of Perenjori reception to place a request.
The library is open during office hours of 8.30am – 3.45pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Council Information
A Council information shelf is provided in the library for interested community members with public documents in relation to the Shire of Perenjori’s activities including minutes, agendas, budgets, annual reports, strategic plans and other documents which may be of interest to the community.
Latham Public Library
The Latham Public Library is located in the Country Women’s Association building on Britt Street along with the Australia Post outlet.
The library is open every Tuesday morning from 9.00am - 11.00am. In the near future he library will be available to residents during the same opening hours as the post office.
The library operates in the same manner as the Perenjori Public Library and has current stock of 1,300 items and also receives regular exchanges.
