LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINARY ELECTIONS
Shire of Perenjori residents wanting to participate in the 2017 Local Government Elections on October 21 must be enrolled on the resident’s roll. To be entitled to be enrolled, a person must qualify as a resident or as a ratepayer and be over 18 years of age. All residents in a local government district who are enrolled on the State Electoral Roll are automatically enrolled on the corresponding local government roll. All eligible electors are allowed to vote once in any district or ward for which they are enrolled.
Form’s are now available from the Shire office to advise the commission of any amendments these may include:
- Those who have a correction made to his or her enrolment on the residents roll e.g. death or changes of address, misprinted or wrong ward.
- Those whose name does not appear on the residents roll (and he/she believes they are eligible) or
- when an individual has information about an elector whose particulars on the roll are incorrect
